All of the racing action at Stafford unofficially opens up later today with practice, and the livin's easy. There's also news that should be shared. And a few pieces of it, to be exact.
+ The grand marshal for the Spring Sizzler has been named. It's Jack Arute, Jr. This goes hand-in-hand with the 40th anniversary celebration the track is doing this season.
+ If the weather holds up for Sunday (and as of tonight, it doesn't look like that's going to be the case), the first 250 fans onto the track for the pit party will recieve a tee-shirt, courtesy of CARQuest.
+ Ted Christopher is racing for charity in 2010. For every lap he runs in feature races this season, $1 will go to breast cancer research. For every feature win, it's $100.
+ Meet Kaitlyn Brice - 14 years old and will be making her debut in the DARE Stock division on Saturday. She will also be the youngest driver to race at Stafford.
+ Doug Coby's going to be filling in for Tim Arre while Arre's not feeling good. This will be Coby's second start in the 0 car.
+ And finally, if you need a refresher course on past history in regards to the Whelen Mods and Stafford, take a look at the race notebook.
