An Early Friday Morning News Post

Hey there. It's Friday morning. Yes, I know it's a little after two in the morning. I'm eager for what's happening later in the day, however. It's twin SK Modified races. The SK makeup race from July 16 will be the first race of the night. Then there's a little bit of qualifying. And then the usual five races are to be run. It should be all fun and games.

There's also news to report.

+ Everyone in the SK field wants to win the two races that will be run tonight. Especially Jeff Baral. He loves double feature nights. Although it's a rare occasion when it's a day/night doubleheader.

+ In the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series championship, a perfect season is defined by 18 wins with fields of at least 20 cars. Keith Rocco has 16 races that fit that description this year between the three Connecticut tracks. He can be Mr. Perfect in the two SK races with wins - only if he can win the first race and enough cars are able to start the second.

+ In next week's schedule, it's the second of the two bi-yearly Late Model 100s. Dillon Moltz is good in these kinds of races, especially since he's seen victory lane after some of them. This season has been a great one for him, but after missing one of the races because of an ARCA commitment, he's looking to gain some of the loss back with a strong run.
