That was the story tonight, as a nice rainfall killed off the program that was scheduled for August 17. Practice was completed, and both the DARE Stocks and Limited Late Models had finished their qualifying heats. The SK Lights were on the third of three heats when the rains started to fall. It first fell lightly upon the track, and then it started to gain speed until it fell at a steady pace. Unfortunately, thunder and lightning had accompanied this, and the decision to end the night was made.
For those of you who were able to get a ticket before the event was called, you are able to redeem said ticket on one of the following dates: August 24, August 31, September 7, and September 14. Stafford will run a regularly scheduled program next Friday night, weather permitting, with the sponsor being Porter and Chester.
So with that being said, enjoy the rest of your weekend, wherever you may be, and hopefully we can get a program in next week. See you on the flip side...
