Summer Heat and Cash Bonuses

Well, well, well... In another three days, Stafford Motor Speedway will host another round of Summer Heat, presented to you in part by Porter and Chester. And that means we'll try to run last week's program all over again. It's all weather permitting, of course. Before I go over some hefty bonuses for some of the races on the docket, I think it's a good idea to go over the docket.

• Late Model 16 LCQ (if necessary)
• SK Modified 21 Means 21 LCQ (if necessary)
• SK Lights (20 minute time limit)
• Late Models
• SK Modifieds
• Limited Late Models (20 minute time limit)
• DARE Stocks

And now, to the special treats. Porter and Chester have raised the stakes just a slight bit, and they have graciously provided $200 for the night. At the halfway point of both the SK Modified and Late Model feature events, the leader will recieve $100. (Damn. I almost typed an extra 0 to that dollar amount. ALMOST.) Rest assured, the pressure will be on as the end of August looms over the track.

But for the next three days, I will definitely be checking the weather report. There is a chance of rain -- or at least I think there's a chance of rain. I don't know what people are saying at this time, so I'll tune into the news coming up in a few minutes so I can see what's going on. What I can tell you is that I hope all of you are safe, dry, and here's to getting that program in on Friday.
