Clarifications

The proverbial "police blotter" was released recently. I've been brought up to date with my notes from this past week. Let's give you the information.

I had in my notes that Tony Santangelo had originally finished second in the SK Light feature, but the finishing order on the track's site proved otherwise. That listed that he finished 17th. The penalty page states that he "spun the leader during the feature" and was "removed from position and placed to 17th in the final finish order". Don't blame the messenger for that one, kiddies. I didn't know what the reason was until tonight.

And in other "noteworthiness"... Scott Cook was the other driver to have a noteworthy penalty. It says "actions detrimental to the sport of auto racing". Usually, that carries a penalty of a week off (usually, not all of the time). But listed under penalties? "Disqualified for the remainder of the evening." Look, I clearly failed to see what exactly happened here. So don't come and serve me my butt on a silver platter here because I can't tell you exactly what I think about this.

Other than that, there was the usual case of rough riding penalties.
