Feature Finish: 1. Mother Nature...

With the rain that has pounded the northeast region of the United States, I wasn't surprised to hear that the 5/12 event at Stafford was going to be cancelled. Word was quickly spread from the site late the night before yet I didn't get the official word until the next day when Mom decided to call. But I sort of knew what to expect earlier in the week when I saw an early weather report on the local news station. Only thing I thought of was Wow, this is going to be an enjoyable weekend. I was being sarcastic about that.

Come to think about it, Stafford wasn't the only track to get rained out over the weekend. Just about every other track was with the exception of a few: Riverhead, Wall, Lebanon Valley, and New Egypt. So I guess the rain won in the majority of the features.

This upcoming Friday should be a regular night of racing with five divisions if Mother Nature decides to cooperate with us. But guess what? I won't be there due to family commitments (aka my brother's school banquet). When I find out who won--if anyone--I'll be back to post the results. Until then, stay safe and dry and I'll talk to you Friday night.
