Yes, it's midweek. It's usually the day I check the weather reports and try to figure out if it's going to rain or not. I can't do that this week, however, because... Oh, let's see... They don't race on Friday. It's the weekend of the Fall Final, and that means that I'm going to hold off weather checks until Thursday and/or Friday.
I can and will, however, give you a megapost of newsworthy preportions.
Whelen Modified Tour
+ You have stories on the first and second place drivers in points going into the Fall Final - Mike Stefanik and Bobby Santos, III. They're separated by seven points.
+ The Rookie of the Year championship is also up for grabs. Justin Bonsignore leads Richie Pallai, Jr by four points (116-112).
NWAMS Divisions
+ From the "most of this you'll know" department: The Late Model championship will be decided between two guys. Woody Pitkat and Ryan Posocco. Cut back to two weeks ago, when I said that there was four points separating the two. It's six with a race to go. Still anyone's championship to lose.
+ The SK Light championship is also a six-point separation. And it comes down to two teenagers. This season, I said there was a youth movement in the SK Lights. What I said lived up to its name. Matt Galko had been the points leader since June, until he wrecked out of the last Friday night race. Barrett's tenth win of the season gave him the six-point lead going into the last race on Saturday. (And the NASCAR Division III Asphalt championship.)
