It's Thursday, and we're guaranteed racing in about 24 hours from now. Which is a good thing, because the scheduled week off's coming up soon and too many weeks without racing does drive people crazy. (Like me a couple of years ago.) With that being said, here are a few pieces of news to get you over before the Modified Racing Series comes into town.
+ Since it was announced before the season began, Ted Christopher's charitable 2010 season has raised $1,495 ($1 for every lap he runs in any feature he races in; $100 for every feature he wins). Stafford announced that they will match the total that Christopher has raised. At the current moment, it comes out to around $3,000.
+ Friday night could see the crowning of the first track champion this year. If Keith Rocco can finish 12th or better in the SK Modified feature, he will clinch the championship in the division with two races to spare. Every other division's points race is still wide open, or at least they'll probably come down to the Fall Final.
