Well, the 2008 Speedway Expo is going to be coming quicker than you may think. It takes place on February 29 -- March 2 of next year, but the location of the event is not where you'd expect it to be. In past years, they've used two (maybe even three) buildings of the Eastern States Exposition and the practice facility of the New England Patriots. Next year, however, they're still going to be at the Big E fairgrounds.
We're going to the Mallary Complex! (Yes. For those of you who are familiar with the building, it's where the cows, sheep, and pigs are during the fair. It also houses agility dogs for the final few days. All in all, thirteen different building changes in a little over two weeks.)
According to an article from The Chrome Horn, the change was made because it's got "room for everything". And when I mean "everything", I really mean everything. There's 130,000 square feet total in the two sections of the building, where the seminars and the autograph sessions are going to be held. I think it's going to be easier getting the cars in and out of the building as well... If the aisles can fit people and people walking cows back and forth from judging, the building can fit people and horsepower there as well.
